You are welcome here

Klivtrn Harvest is a local church family. Some have worshipped in PCV congregations all their lives; others are new to Port Vila or visiting Efate. All are received as guests in the house of God.

You do not need a special invitation, a particular style of dress beyond modest respect, or prior knowledge of Presbyterian order. The church is close to the airport in Port Vila (plus code 78W9+73M). Come a little early if you can, and someone will help you find a seat.

What to expect

Worship in a PCV congregation holds together Presbyterian order and the living voice of Vanuatu: prayer, preaching, and song offered to God with the whole heart.

Word and prayer

Scripture is read and preached. The congregation prays for the church, the nation, the sick, and those who do not yet know Christ.

Song

Hymns and songs may be offered in Bislama and English, often in rich harmony. The singing of the church is itself a testimony of faith.

Fellowship

After worship, members greet one another. Visitors are often welcomed personally. Stay if you can — it is part of belonging.

Languages

Bislama, English, and the languages of home

Port Vila is a gathering place of many islands. Worship may include Bislama and English, and members also carry the languages of their home islands. If you are visiting and do not speak Bislama, you are still welcome. The Gospel is for every people, and someone will help you follow the service.

Holy Communion is celebrated according to the practice of the congregation and the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu. Baptism and membership are arranged through the session.
