Ministries of the congregation

Every ministry at Klivtrn Harvest exists to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to foster Christian fellowship — among members and in the wider Port Vila community.

Youth

Klivtrn Harvest Presbyterian Youth

The congregation’s youth fellowship is a recognised youth organisation of the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu. Their public page, Klivtrn Harvest Presbyterian Youth, is followed by more than four thousand people and is the best place for week-to-week photos, notices, and invitations.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
1 Timothy 4:12–13 · youth page verse

Youth at Klivtrn Harvest worship, serve, and stand with the wider South Efate Presbytery and PCV Youth. They take a visible part in Sunday gatherings in the sanctuary, and they help host the church’s larger celebrations — including the congregation’s thirty-second anniversary this August. Friends from school and neighbourhood are welcome.

Sunday School

Children learning the way of Jesus

Sunday School is where the children of the church hear the stories of Scripture, learn to pray, and discover that they are loved by God. Classes run as part of the Sunday gathering so that the whole family can belong to the worshipping community.

Teachers serve with patience and joy. Parents and caregivers are invited to speak with Sunday School leaders about how children can take part, including visitors who are new to Port Vila.

In this ministry

  • Bible stories and memory verses
  • Prayer and song
  • A safe, welcoming class
  • Partnership with families

Evangelism

The harvest field of Port Vila

Evangelism is the church’s glad work of making Jesus known. Our evangelism ministry encourages members to share the Gospel in word and deed — with neighbours, workplaces, settlements, and visitors to Efate.

We pray for those who do not yet know Christ, support outreach in the community, and remember that the harvest belongs to the Lord. All who long to speak of Jesus are invited to join this work.

  • Prayer for the city and the nation
  • Witness in daily life
  • Community outreach
  • Welcome for seekers and visitors

PWMU

Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union

The Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union is a cherished ministry across the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu. At Klivtrn Harvest, PWMU gathers the women of the congregation for prayer, mission support, teaching, and practical care.

PWMU has long strengthened the church through training, hospitality, and service to families and communities. Women of every age are welcome — whether you have belonged to PWMU for years or are stepping into fellowship for the first time.

Men’s Fellowship

Brothers walking in faith

Men’s Fellowship brings the men of the church together for prayer, Scripture, and encouragement in their callings as disciples, husbands, fathers, and neighbours. It is a place to speak honestly, bear one another’s burdens, and grow in Christian character.

The group also supports the practical life of the congregation and stands ready to serve families in times of need. New members and visitors are welcome to take a seat among the brothers.
